My name is Lena Bakman. I was born in the former Soviet Union. Growing up in the USSR contributed a lot to my understanding of how to live successfully in the multicultural arena. Russian is my mother tongue.
At the age of 10, my family immigrated to Israel. Hence, life in the Middle East formed another dimension to my understanding of the multicultural environment. Hebrew became my second mother tongue.
I have been traveling in different countries all over the world and learned more and more about different cultures. During my quests, English and Spanish became additional languages I master.
In 2019 I relocated to Germany. German became my 5th language.
Since 2008, during my spare time, I do public diplomacy and believe in the power of social media and its impact on people worldwide. In 2019 I joined the World Jewish Congress Jewish Diplomatic Corps and I passionate about international relations, interfaith projects and networking.
